Three Arctic sustainability business networks meet for the first time

On 4 December 2023, 14 members of the Faroese and Greenlandic business community made a trip to Iceland to learn from leading companies working on climate and nature. The trip, part funded by Nordic Atlantic Cooperation (NORA), marks a significant milestone in North Atlantic business cooperation as companies from three sustainability networks – CSR Greenland, the Burðardygt Vinnulív (the Faroese Sustainable Business Initiative) and Festa - Center for Sustainability – come together to learn from each other. The main aim of the trip is sharing knowledge and fostering cooperation. By learning from one another, we're working towards a better understanding of how to navigate the climate and nature landscape. During our trip we engaged in insightful discussions on nature-based solutions, decarbonisation strategies in the aviation, fishing and shipping industries, as well as on carbon capture and storage technology, and the challenges and opportunities of upcoming EU regulations. A heartfelt thank you to all our hosts for the warm welcome! Festa - Center for Sustainability, Landsbankinn, Eimskip, Marel, Icelandair, Landgreadslan, Brim and Carbfix. The organisations on the trip are: Air Greenland, Betri Banki, Burðardygt Vinnulív, Christian í Grótinum, CSR Greenland, Føroya Tele Samtakið (Faroese Telecom Group), J&K Petersen Contractors, MEST Shipyard, Nalik Ventures, Ramboll Management Consulting and SMJ.
